Ethics? Justice? Welcome to the Nation of Scientology

Have you ever noticed, that when talking to a Scientologist, it seems like you are speaking the same language but not exactly?  Don't worry.  It is that way by design.  It gets even worse when you listen to Scientologists talking to each other.  You know they are speaking your language, but you don't have any idea what they are saying.  This is also on purpose.  It is designed to accomplish three things.  First, it aids the Scientologist to become more indoctrinated by understanding the "secret" language.  Second, it hides what they are saying from the uninitiated.  Third, it makes the Scientologist feel superior to the rest of us.  Also, Hubbard re-defined some words so that he could further enslave the Scientology population which brings us to ethics and justice.

The actual definition of ethics is:

Moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior.
The moral correctness of specified conduct.

Now let's look at what Hubbard did with that:

ETHICS consists simply of the actions an individual takes on himself. It is a
personal thing. When one is ethical or “has his ethics in,” it is by his own determinism
and is done by himself.

The definition of justice is:

Just behavior or treatment.
The quality of being fair and reasonable.

Whereas Hubbard defined it as:

JUSTICE is the action taken on the individual by the group when he fails to take
these actions himself.

Let's look at ethics first.  Notice that Hubbard left out a very important piece.  Morality.  If you look at his personal life, Hubbard may have known the definition of morality, but he certainly didn't think it applied to him. It is also not ethical or moral to take drugs while telling your followers not to.  Actually though, his definition is a lie.  It says that it is by one's own determinism and done by himself.  I want you to get this.  Any disagreement you may have with policy, coursework or Scientology administrators will get you sent to the ethics officer in a minute.  If the ethics officer cannot get you to see the error of your ways then you get to go through justice actions.

Believe me when I tell you that I and many others have found out the hard way that the reason Hubbard defined justice the way he did is that Scientology justice is in no way fair or reasonable.  Throwing a person into a concentration camp because they want to leave is not justice.  Ripping a person away from their family is not reasonable.  In Scientology, it happens regularly.

These two examples are only the tip of a very large iceberg.  Look around and you will find many more.  Hubbard wanted nothing less than world domination and if he had not gone 'round the bend at Creston ranch, he would have kept working toward that goal until his last dying breath.

What I really want you to get is this.  If you join Scientology and especially if you join staff or the Sea Organization, you will become a citizen of Scientology and will be giving up the rights you have as a citizen of your country.  Don't believe me?  Ask an ex Scientologist.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Make sure you come back often.

The Great OT Challenge

I am going to try to be fair here, and give Scientology the benefit of the doubt.  I will forget, for a moment, what was done to me at the hands of Scientology Upper Management in the interest of a fair challenge.  Also, just to be fair, we will use only the words of Hubbard written before 1986.  No re-writes.   In the book Scientology 8-8008, Hubbard writes:

A thetan who is completely rehabilitated and can do everything a thetan should do, such as move MEST (Matter, Energy, Space and Time) and control others from a distance, or create his own universe; a person who is able to create his own universe or, living in the MEST universe is able to create illusions perceivable by others at will, to handle MEST universe objects without mechanical means and to have and feel no need of bodies or even the MEST universe to keep himself and his friends interested in existence.”

And, of course, I am going to add the abilities gained from the Scientology Grade Chart from 1986:

Section VIII OT - Ability to be at cause knowingly and at will over thought, life, form, matter, energy, space and time, subjective and objective.

Scientology has claimed that the fall of Communism in Europe is directly related to the release of OT 8 and as far as I can determine, since OT 8 was released, there have to be a couple of hundred of them at least.  So if you got just a few of them together, their postulates would have to come true, wouldn't they?  My challenge is not even as difficult as the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Here is my challenge.  To Mr. Miscavige and the Upper Management of the "church" of Scientology.  If you accept this challenge, at a place and time of my choosing, you may bring up to six (6) OT 8's for a simple test of their combined OT abilities.  They are to levitate (without ever having touched it) an ashtray that I will provide.  It will be in a public place and the media will be invited.

The terms are simple.  If your OT's manage to pull off this amazing feat,  I will retract every negative thing I ever said about Scientology and will no longer protest Scientology publicly or privately.

If, on the other hand, your OT's are not able to perform, David Miscavige must publicly apologize to me for my treatment by Scientology Upper management and must admit that the OT levels are a fraud.

Mr. Miscavige, I await your response.

Thank you everyone for reading my posts, I hope they are informative.  I would ask you all to share this post everywhere you can so that it goes viral.  That way D.M. might even see it and respond.  Wouldn't that be a kick?

Church of Scientology vs. Church of Scientology

So there are a few points that bother me and I wonder if they bother you too.  What worries me most is that it appears that even Scientology "scriptures" tend to negate each other.  What the hell.  It may just be that I have misunderstood's.  Maybe someone can help me out on that.  Now it seems to me that a "church's" creed should reflect the actual position the organization takes.  Let is take a look at just a few points of the Creed Of the Church of Scientology along with a few points of policy the seem to make a lie of the creed.  So here goes:

We of the church believe:

"That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others;"

Ok. So if I have a problem with the "church", I am free to tell the world how I feel about it?  Uh, not quite:

"HCO PL 23 DECEMBER 1965
SUPPRESSIVE ACTS
SUPPRESSION OF SCIENTOLOGY AND SCIENTOLOGISTS
THE FAIR GAME LAW
Such Suppressive Acts include public disavowal of Scientology or Scientologists in good standing with Scientology Organizations; public statements against Scientology or Scientologists but not to Committees of Evidence duly convened; proposing, advising or voting for legislation or ordinances, rules or laws directed toward the Suppression of Scientology; pronouncing Scientologists guilty of the practice of standard Scientology; testifying hostilely before state or public inquiries into Scientology to suppress it; reporting or threatening to report Scientology or Scientologists to civil authorities in an effort to suppress Scientology or Scientologists from practicing or receiving standard Scientology; (and) A truly Suppressive Person or Group has no rights of any kind and actions taken against them are not punishable under Scientology Ethics Codes."

Alright, here is another one:

"That all men have inalienable rights to the creation of their own kind;"

So this mean everybody.  Right?  Well, it seems that David Miscavige doesn't consider his own people to be up there along with the rest of us humans:

In 1986 David Miscavige decreed that in order to maximize production, Sea Org members would no longer be allowed to have children. Though the order was sent out in ED Int's name, it was pushed by David Miscavige. Couples who thereafter got pregnant were coerced to get an abortion. If that failed, they were banished  to a "small and failing org" as punishment for being "out ethics."

And:

"And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly."

So does this mean that Hubbard was God and when he left he passed down godhood to David Miscavige?

And finally we have this:

"And we of the Church believe that the laws of God forbid man:
To destroy his own kind;"

Well that works, except it doesn't hold true for people below a certain tone level on his tone scale.  Let's hear what Hubbard had to say:

"The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered. It is not necessary to produce a world of clears in order to have a reasonable and worthwhile social order; it is only necessary to delete those individuals who range from 2.0 down, either by processing them enough ... or simply quarantining them from the society."

And from Science of Survival:

""The only answers would seem to be the permanent quarantine of such persons from society to avoid the contagion of their insanities and the general turbulence which they bring into any order""

And:

"In any event, any person from 2.0 down on the tone scale should not have, in any thinking society, any civil rights of any kind..."

And:

"Such people should be taken from the society as rapidly as possible and uniformly institutionalized ... Because of the covert nature of this insanity, it is completely beside the point whether such a person is pronounced insane by any agency."

And finally:

"No social order will survive which does not remove these people from its midst."

So help me out someone.  Did I go past a word I did not fully understand?  Or does it seem that they say one thing and mean something totally different.  I will let you decide.

Thanks for being here today.  Tune in soon for another exciting episode.

Aberrated Hubbard - The Admissions

Aberrated - Characterized by defects, abnormality, or deviation from the usual, typical, or expected course.

The references in this post are taken from what Hubbard called The Affirmations written in 1947.  He wrote and recorded them to be played back while he was in a (in his own words) self-hypnotic trance.  You can read the complete work by clicking here.  Before the naysayers start yelling fraud, the "church" of Scientology was compelled to admit the veracity of this document in Scientology v. Armstrong.  Gerry Armstrong was Hubbard's personal archivist who publicly broke this document as well as others in order to show proof that the "church" was a fraud from the start.  In Armstrong's own words:

"$cientology has set no prerequisites or punishments that I'm aware of for $cientologists reading Hubbard's Admissions, and for that at least I'm grateful. I believe that the Admissions should be read by every $cientologist at whatever point they find themselves on the bridge. $cientologists won't get pneumonia. They might have some good cognitions.(A sudden realization about oneself having to do with Scientology) ® They might become free."

If you were ever in Scientology, you will remember that if anything bad ever happened to you, it was somehow your responsibility.  You had pulled it in somehow, on yourself.  Hubbard, on the other hand, didn't take any responsibility for things that happened, even when it was his fault:

"While taking these drugs I fell in love with Sara. She can be most exciting sexually to me. Because of drugs as above and a hangover from my ex-wife Polly, I sometimes am unexcited by anything sexual. This depresses me."

"Polly was very bad for me sexually. Because of her coldness physically, the falsity of her pretensions, I believed myself a near eunuch between 1933 and 1936 or ? when I found I was attractive to other women. I  had many affairs. But my failure to please Polly made me always pay so much attention to my momentary mate that I derived small pleasure myself. This was an anxiety neurosis which cut down my natural powers."

"In 1938-39 I met a girl in New York, Helen, who pleased me very much physically. I loved her and she me. The affair would have lasted had not Polly found out. Polly made things so miser-able that I finally detested her and became detested by Helen, who two-timed me on my return to New York in 1941. This also reduced my libido. I have had Helen since but no longer want her. She does not excite me and I do not love her."

"In 1942 - December 17th or thereabouts - while training in Miami, Florida, I met a girl named Ginger who excited me. She was a very loose person but pretended a great love for me. From her I received an infection of gonorrhea. I was terrified by it, the consequences of being discovered by my wife, the navy, my friends. I went to a private doctor who treated me with sulfa-thiazole and so forth. I thought I was cured but on a plane headed to Portland, Ore. I found I was not. I took to dosing myself with sulfa in such quantities that I was afraid I had affected my brain. My wife came to Portland. I took what precautions I could. I think actually that the disease was utterly cured very early. This fear further depressed my libido. My wife disliked the act any-way, I believe, even after she had a hysterectomy in 1938. (She was always terrified of childbirth but conceived despite all precautions seven times in five years resulting in five abortions and two children. I am quite fond of my children but my wife always tried to convince me that I hated them.)"

"I carried this fear of the disease to sea with me. I was reprimanded in San Diego in mid-43 for firing on the Mexican coast and was removed from command of my ship. This on top of having sunk two Jap subs without credit, the way my crew lied for me at the Court of Inquiry, the insults of the High Command, all combined to put me in the hospital with ulcers."

And finally (with a shudder):

"You have no fear of what any woman may think of your bed conduct. You know you are a master. You know they will be thrilled. You can come many times without weariness. The act does not reduce your  vitality or brain power at all. You can come several times and still write. Intercourse does not hurt your chest or make you sore. Your arms are strong and do not ache in the act. Your own pleasure is not dependent on the woman's. You are interested only in your own sexual pleasure. If she gets any that is all right but not vital. Many women are not capable of pleasure in sex and anything adverse they say or do has no effect whatever upon your pleasure. Their bodies thrill you. If they repel you, it merely means they themselves are too frigid or prudish to be bothered with. They are unimportant in bed except as they thrill you. Your sexual power is magnificent and they know it. If they are afraid of it, that is their loss. You are not affected by it. You have no fear if they conceive. What if they do? You do not care. Pour it into them and let fate decide. The slipperier they are the more you enjoy it because it means their mucous is running madly with pleasure. There is nothing wrong in the sex act. Nothing any woman may say can change your opinion. You are a master. You are as sensitive and sexy as Pan. Lord help women when you begin to fondle them. You are master of their bodies, master of their souls as you may consciously wish. You have no karma to pay for these acts."

So you see, many of his psycho-sexual problems were caused not by others, but his own inability to keep it in his pants.  Years later, in Scientology he made all sorts of demands on his parishioners, especially Sea Org members, making it an offense to have sexual relations outside the marriage bed.  Masturbation is frowned on for all members of the "church", and is even on the sec checks but for Hubbard? Have a look:

"(c) That masturbation was no sin or crime and did not injure me. That no sexual practice has ever dulled me.
(d) That things sexual thrill me. That I am now returned to the same feelings I had at 16 about sex where excitement is concerned. That naked women and pornography excite me greatly. That Sara excites me greatly and gives me much pleasure.
(i) That I am fortunate in losing Polly and my parents, for they never meant well by me.
(z) That I need not subscribe to any moral code of sex anywhere."

Alright, that's enough aberration on the Second Dynamic (In Scientology, the second dynamic refers to family, children, personal relationships and sex.)  Now, I want to go into his relationship to the occult briefly:

"(o) That I believe in my gods and spiritual things.

(u) That my code is to be all things a "magus" must be, that I am those things. That I burn high and bright and will last as a potent and brilliant force until well after this century has run.

(w) That this hypnosis will not fade, but will increase in power as time advances.
(x) That my magical work is powerful and effective.

(e) That anything which impedes my zest for living is small and puny and will dwindle before the power of these statements. That nothing in me which is evil can have heard these statements and commands without disappearing."

"Your psychology is good. You worked to darken your own children. This failure, with them, was only apparent. The evident lack of effectiveness was "ordered." The same psychology works perfectly on everyone else. You use it with great confidence. Nothing can intervene between you and your Guardian. She cannot be displaced because she is too powerful. She does not control you. She advises you. You may or may not take the advice. You are an adept and have a wonderful and brilliant mind of your own."

"You have magnificent power but you are humble and calm and patient in that power. For you control all forces under you as you wish. The strength of your Guardian aids you always and can never depart or be repelled. Your faith in her and in God is unswerveable, blind, powerful and you never, never doubt their good intent toward you. They work with you. You help them exert their plans. They have faith unbounded in you. You will never forget these incantations. They are holy and are now become an integral part of your nature. You enter the greatest phase yet of work and devotion and power and have perfect control without further fear."

"Men's chains fall from you. Your head is high. Your back is straight. You can experience no evil or illness. You are wholly protected. You cannot guide yourself wrong for you are guided as a crown prince. Material things are yours for the asking. Men are your slaves. Elemental spirits are your slaves.(this is dark witchcraft) You are power among powers, light in the darkness, beauty in all. You are not sleepy or tired ever. You do not sleep unless you will it consciously. Sleep to you is a deep trance. Nothing can touch you in that trance because it would not dare."

"Your psychology is advanced and true and wonderful. It hypnotizes people. It predicts their emotions, for you are their ruler." (Again, his need to control and rule over others.)

"You never speak ill of another because you are too powerful and may curse them. You love everyone. Even when you use force on people, you cannot hate them. You have no hate or jealousy in you. You are not in contest with anyone. God and your Guardian and your own power bring destruction on those who would injure you. But you never speak of this for you are kind. A sphere of light, invisible to others, surrounds you as a protecting globe. All forces bounce away from you off this."

"The most thrilling thing in your life is your love and consciousness of your Guardian. She materializes for you. You have no doubts of her. She is real. She is always with you. You love her very much. You trust her. You see and hear her. She is not your master. You have a mighty spiritual will of your own. She is an adviser and as such is respected by you. She is wise and worthy and never changes shape. Your faith in her as in God is blind and unshaken ever. She is interested in you and amused by you. She does not criticize you. She does not frown on your sexual acts but advises you on better game. That she is with you always does not mean that she sees you as indecent ever. You cannot offend her. You cannot repel her. You are too good. You respect her and you love her and appreciate her advice. You are good always because you want her to feel good. This does not apply to sex. She has never and will never forbid you pleasures. She will never censure you. She is lovely and beautiful and radiant and part of your life. You can see her consciously whenever you wish. You are never startled by her because you are not afraid of her. You are partly in her
plane, she partly in yours as you wish to see her. She has copper red hair, long braids, a lovely Venusian face, a white gown belted with jade squares. She wears gold slippers. Thus you see her. (an incredible imagination he had) You can read with ease anything she cares to show you. You can talk with her and audibly hear her voice above all others. You and she are too powerful to permit any interference. You can work alone whenever you wish because she protects you. You and she are friends. You both have a higher master. She can teach you much. You love her. But she does not own your will, cannot affect your will and you are powerful enough to depend upon yourself. You do not consign will to her, ever. She advises. You do not have to take the advice. She cannot weaken your will. You have no fears of consequences  if you fail to heed her. You can also be right for you know more of time than she does. She is wise and beautiful and powerful. Others may not see her, and you need not look at her or talk to her when others are around for they might not understand. You can talk to her "in your own mind" when others are near."

This is not the L. Ron Hubbard that he, or Scientology has presented to the world.  This was a very sad, psychologically ill being with a God complex.  He sought to rule and control others, women especially, with no apparent feeling for the needs of others, only himself.  He used self-hypnosis to convince himself that these statements were true and to re-enforce these implants (post-hypnotic suggestions).

The question now is, would you really want to follow this man as your Messiah?  Even more importantly, would you want your children to follow him?

Thanks for dropping by today.  I hope you will return next time.  Once again, if you have any questions or comments, I would be glad to see them.  Also once again, my everlasting thanks to Arnie Lerma for keeping all this data safe and available for research on his web site.

SCIENTOLOGY PROMISES . . . . nothing

Most people, when they walk into a "church" of Scientology, are trying to handle a specific problem in their life, whether the know it or not.  Scientology's registrars (salespeople) are very good at finding you ruin (problem), and convincing you that your problem can be handled with the application of Scientology "technology".  There are many people, who, having been in Scientology for quite some time, will sit down in front of the registrar and say something like, "we you know I have gone up to level so-and-so and I haven't handles such-and such yet.  What gives?"  And invariably the registrar or sometimes the registrar and the case supervisor together will assure you that this is something that will be handles on the next level.  If fact, this is part of the scam.

When a person signs up to do services (courses or a series of auditing) at the church of Scientology, they have to sign a contract called "RELIGIOUS SERVICES ENROLLMENT APPLICATION, AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASE".  In it, you sign that you understand that:

"Neither the Church nor any other Scientology church or organization which espouses. presents. propagates or practices the Scientology religion makes any claim:
I. that the nature or purpose of Scientology. or of Dianetics. or of the writings and recorded spoken words of L.R.H. is contrary to what is stated in this Contract:
II. that the application of any Scientology or Dianetics technology or practice will have any particular effect on me or any other person; or
III. that any particular result may be forthcoming from my participation in any Scientology Religious Service. I specifically acknowledge that I have read and that I understand Scientology Policy Directive 13 March 1996. Statements by Staff Members. which states clearly that if any individual staff member of any  Scientology church or organization makes any claims about the results which may be forthcoming from my participation in any Scientology Religious Service. any such claims are the personal opinions and beliefs of that staff member only. and are not claims made by the Church or any other Scientology church or organization."

No matter what anyone told you, Scientology makes no promise that what you have gone there to handle will be handled.  I have known several people who had gone in to specifically handle some kind of physical ailment and were told that it would definitely be handled at some point on the "Bridge".  By the contract, this is also false:

"Scientology Religious Services are designed to give spiritual aid. not medical treatment. However. the Scientology religion teaches that the spirit can be saved and that the spirit alone may save or heal the body. and Scientology Religious Services are intended to save the spirit. By signing this Contract. I recognize. acknowledge and agree that:
a. Scientology Religious Services are not intended and are not used for diagnosing ailments of the body or for engaging in the teaching or practice of any medical arts or sciences.
b. It is exclusively my responsibility to see to my physical and medical well-being, and under no circumstance does the Church or any other Scientology church or organization which espouses. presents, propagates or practices the Scientology religion have any responsibility whatsoever in that regard.
c. I have not come to the Church. nor do I seek to participate in Scientology Religious Services. solely to be cured of any physical illness, ailment or condition.
d. While the registrar can assist me in arranging for a competent medical examination and appropriate
treatment by a qualified medical practitioner before I participate in any Scientology Religious Services. it is solely my responsibility to take whatever steps are necessary to demonstrate that I have no diagnosable or medically treatable illnesses. ailments. or conditions that are not under competent medical care before I begin participating in any Scientology Religious Service. Thereafter, any physical illness. ailment or condition I may have that has been treated medically may then be addressed spiritually by the application of the tenets of the Scientology religion. subject to the terms of this Contract.
e. I know that I should not participate in any Scientology Religious Service if I have a physical or mental condition which might be aggravated or which might make my participation in the service uncomfortable or distressful to me, and I agree to accept and assume any and all known or unknown risks of injury. loss, or damage resulting from my choices and decisions in that regard."

The other day, a member of O.C.M.B. had expressed concerns that another incident like the Lisa McPherson incident could possibly happen.  As long as the following clause is in the contract, I regret to say that in my opinion, it is very likely:

"Scientology is unalterably opposed. as a matter of religious belief, to the practice of psychiatry. and espouses as a religious belief that the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in nonreligious fields. I am in full agreement with this religious belief. I do not believe in or subscribe to psychiatric labels for individuals. It is my strongly held religious belief that all mental problems are spiritual in nature and that there is no such thing as a mentally incompetent person .. only those suffering  from spiritual upset of one kind or another dramatized by an individual. I reject all psychiatric labels and intend for this Contract to clearly memorialize my desire to be helped exclusively through religious, spiritual means and not through any form of psychiatric treatment. specifically including involuntary commitment based on so called lack of competence. Under no circumstances, at any time, do I wish to be denied my right to care from members of my religion to the exclusion of psychiatric care or psychiatric directed care, regardless of what any psychiatrist, medical person. designated member of the state or family member may assert supposedly on my behalf. If circumstances should ever arise in which government, medical, or psychiatric officials or personnel or family members or friends attempt to compel or coerce or commit me for psychiatric evaluation. treatment or hospitalization. I fully desire and fully expect that the Church or Scientologists will intercede on my behalf to oppose such efforts and/or extricate me from that predicament so my spiritual needs may be addressed in accordance with the tenets of the Scientology religion free from psychiatric intervention."

One shudders at the implications.  This means that even if you did come down with a "mental illness" and you family interceded to have you committed, Scientologists could come in and countermand that commitment and take you out of the hospital.

Scientology wants to make sure that you know that Scientology is in no way responsible for your spiritual progress.  It is all on you:

"This Contract memorializes my intention to participate in Scientology Religious Services only for purposes of self improvement and spiritual advancement. By signing this Contract, I recognize. acknowledge and agree that:
a. Achieving the benefits and goals of the Scientology religion requires my dedicated participation. because only through my own efforts can I achieve those benefits and goals."

So what if you have done services and paid for more and have decided that it hasn't worked for you and you want your money back?  They tell you that you can get a refund any time you want.  What they don't tell you is that they will make you jump through some improbable hoops to get your refund.  The contract says that they don't owe you anything:

"No Scientology church is under any duty or obligation whatsoever to return any portion of any religious donation I make."

Make sure that when you sign a contract with the Devil, you don't burn your fingers.  Know in advance what you are signing and don't let anyone pressure you into signing anything you don't fully understand.

Thank you so much for being here today.  Please come back next time for another episode.  As always your questions and comments are most welcomed.

Scientology 101 - Suppressive Persons

Suppressive Person, often abbreviated SP, is a term used in Scientology to describe the "antisocial personalities" who, according to Scientology's founder L. Ron Hubbard, make up about 2.5% of the population. Another 18% are PTS (Potential Trouble Source), as a result of the SPs. A statement on a Church of Scientology website describes this group as including notorious historic figures such as Adolf Hitler and Genghis Khan as well as others who "are less obviously seen." The term is often applied to those whom the Church of Scientology perceives as its enemies, i.e. those whose "disastrous" and "suppressive" acts are said to impede the progress of individual Scientologists or the Scientology movement.

So what is a Suppressive Person and how do you get to be one?  It is really easy to be Declared.  Especially these days.  It seems that all you have to do is get on David Miscavige's bad side, or rally on the bad side of any exec.  But what were the qualifications according to Hubbard?  Here are a few of them.  According to policy, HCOPL 23 December 1965 Suppressive Acts Suppression of Scientology and Scientologists The Fair Game Law:

Such Suppressive Acts include public disavowal of Scientology or Scientologists in good standing with Scientology Organizations; public statements against Scientology or Scientologists but not to Committees of Evidence duly convened; proposing, advising or voting for legislation or ordinances, rules or laws directed toward the Suppression of Scientology; pronouncing Scientologists guilty of the practice of standard Scientology; testifying hostilely before state or public inquiries into Scientology to suppress it; reporting or threatening to report Scientology or Scientologists to civil authorities in an effort to suppress Scientology or Scientologists from practicing or receiving standard Scientology; bringing civil suit against any Scientology organization or Scientologist including the non-payment of bills or failure to refund without first calling the matter to the attention of the Chairman at Saint Hill and receiving a reply; demanding the return of any or all fees paid for standard training or processing actually received or received in part and still available but undelivered only because of departure of the person demanding (the fees must be refunded but this Policy Letter applies); writing anti-Scientology letters to the press or giving anti-Scientology or anti-Scientologist evidence to the press; testifying as a hostile witness against Scientology in public; continued membership in a divergent group; continued adherence to a person or group pronounced a Suppressive Person or Group by HCO; failure to handle or disavow and disconnect from a person demonstrably guilty of Suppressive Acts; being at the hire of anti-Scientology groups or persons; organizing a splinter group to use Scientology data or any part of it to distract people from standard Scientology; organizing splinter groups to diverge from Scientology practices, still calling it Scientology or calling it something else; calling meetings of staffs or field auditors or the public to deliver Scientology into the hands of unauthorized persons or who will suppress it or alter it or who have no reputation for following standard lines and procedures; infiltrating a Scientology group or organization or staff to stir up discontent or protest at the instigation of hostile forces; 1st degree murder, arson, disintegration of persons or belongings; mutiny; seeking to splinter off an area of  Scientology and deny it properly constituted authority for personal profit, personal power or “to save the organization from the higher officers of Scientology”; engaging in malicious ‘rumor-mongering to destroy the authority or repute of higher officers or the leading names of Scientology or to “safeguard” a position; delivering up the person of a Scientologist without defense or protest to the demands of civil or criminal law; falsifying records that then imperil the liberty or safety of a Scientologist; knowingly giving false testimony to imperil a Scientologist; receiving money, favors or encouragement to suppress Scientology or Scientologists; sexual or sexually perverted conduct contrary to the well being or good state of mind of a Scientologist in good standing or under the charge of Scientology such as a student, a preclear, a ward or a patient; blackmail on Scientologists or Scientology organizations threatened or accomplished—in which case the crime being used for blackmail purposes becomes fully outside the reach of Ethics and is absolved the fact of blackmail unless repeated.

I want you to look at the first red line very carefully.  This means that if you have a friend, lover, husband wife, father mother, son or daughter that has been declared a Suppressive Person and you want to stay in the good graces of the ''church", you must disconnect from that person, or risk being declared yourself.  I know several people who have had their families ripped apart because of this.

Now look at the second red highlighted area.  It is a high crime to splinter off an area of Scientology, even if it is to save the organization from the higher officers of Scientology.  What does this mean?  Even if you had evidence that the very top person in the church of Scientology was guilt of crimes and all you wanted to do was to protect your church by either removing the officer, or removing the church from that officer, you would be declared a Suppressive Person and removed from the church.  And so would anyone who openly agreed with you.

Hubbard goes on to say:

Suppressive Acts are clearly those covert or overt acts knowingly calculated to reduce or destroy the influence or activities of Scientology or prevent case gains or continued Scientology success and activity on the part of a Scientologist. As persons or groups that would do such a thing act out of self interest only to the detriment of all others, they cannot be granted the rights and beingness ordinarily accorded rational  beings and so place themselves beyond any consideration for their feelings or well being.

What did he say?  He said, and meant, that if you have been declared, no Scientologist should ever consider your well being or feelings.  He said, and meant that as far as Scientology is concerned, you have no rights.  This includes people who have never been in the church who just see the wrongness of what is happening in the church and dare to speak out about it publicly.  It also includes writers, newspapers, and attorneys   who fall into the bad graces of the "church".

And lastly, Hubbard says it again in stronger terms:

A truly Suppressive Person or Group has no rights of any kind as Scientologists and actions taken against them are not punishable under Scientology Ethics Codes.

Any Scientologist in good standing has the right to do anything to you, the suppressive, without any fear of repercussion from Scientology management.

I hope this has cleared things up for you.  Thank you so much for being here with me today.  Come back soon for another episode.  As always your questions and comments are most welcome.

The R.P.F. - Scientology's Prison Camp

The fence that you see above is located at Scientology's "Gold" Base, not too far from the city of Hemet, California in the U.S.  As you can see, the stainless steel razor spikes point both ways, not only to keep people out, but to keep those on the inside from escaping.  Did I mention this is a "church"?  Can it possibly be that the "church" of Scientology has it's own concentration camp?  Read on.

Possibly the worst policies L. Ron Hubbard ever came up with were the policies that constitute the Rehabilitation Project Force (R.P.F. for short).  Scientology upper management will tell you that is is a voluntary work/study/religious retreat to help rehabilitate Sea Organization members and get them back up to where they can be productive members of the group.  It is actually a prison camp to punish those Sea Organization members that have angered management in some way or another.  Some are thrown into this work/punishment detail just because they wish to leave the Sea Org or Scientology.

Once in, members are in and punished until they are back in the good graces of the management.  This has been known to last up to 6 years and more.  Members of the R.P.F. are not allowed to communicate with anyone outside of the R.P.F.  They are not allowed to eat at the same times as other staff.  They are only allowed to sleep in separate quarters, usually filthy places with only one bathroom for all members.  They are not allowed to communicate to their friends or family by phone or letter unless it would cause a flap (bad p.r.).  If they are permitted to call, their calls are monitored by a security person to make sure they don't say where they are or how they really are doing.  Letters out must be read by security personnel before they are posted.  If an member is having a hard time making it in the R.P.F., no problem.  There is always the R.P.F.'s R.P.F. The only reason for that organization is to totally break the member to make them pliable and willing to follow any command.  Sleep deprivation, filthy food and quarters, not being allowed any personal time, hard work, no socialization are all part of this "program".

I have heard many horror stories of friends that have been in.  Here are just a few quotes:

From Tonja Burden - "... In the RPF you were labeled 'treasonous' and forced to work 18 hours a day.7 days a week and oftentimes received only 'rice and beans' and water. During this time I personally observed a person chained to pipes in the boiler room in the Fort Harrison building for a period of weeks. In the RPF I saw people screaming and crying during the constant auditing on the E-meter. RPF prisoners were forced to undergo auditing in order to audit out their evil purposes against Hubbard and Scientology. I cried virtually the whole time I was in the RPF."

From Hana Whitfield - "Certain infractions caused the person responsible to be assigned to the RPF's RPF, a place in the lower boiler room under the Fort Harrison Hotel, among the boilers and hot waters pipes which rambled and hissed 24 hours a day. The place was only dimly lit. It consisted of interconnecting-spaces through which one had to crawl on hands and knees at times past or underneath huge pipes and massive 10 foot high boilers. It had a dark, forbidding, somewhat scary place. One of my buddies was assigned to the RPF's RPF for two months for refusing to divulge confidential information for which she had been bonded in the Guardian's Office. She was kept in that space ex-communicado for the entire time, with limited bathing and toilet privileges, all the time being threatened and verbally harassed by RPF superiors. She finally emerged a broken, silent, sullen person who soon after managed to escape from the RPF and the Fort Harrison Hotel. Her name was Lynn Froyland."

From our good friend Suzi Nefertiti a.k.a. Mary Abadi - an average day in the RPF - "Basically, it consists in getting up early before everybody and going to bed very late after everybody else. Fatigue is omnipresent. Just 7 hours sleep is not enough to compensate for a forced labor work in a hell cadence. The person's resistance, even in good health conditions begins to decay. At this rate, after a week of forced pace — I would not wish to my worst enemies (except Miscavige and other bastards) — I felt my strengths lowering. Cramps becoming more and more frequent were all the more painful since I had to continue running no matter what. Aching all over, sweat had also become a fearful enemy. Florida's hot and humid climate with the accelerated rhythm of constant effort provoked an important sweating which was responsible for an accumulation of bacteria. The thing was to protect ourselves from potential wounds at all cost. No preventive measures was ever taken and of course, no medicine, not even antiseptics or antibiotics were allowed in case of injury or illness.

Actions stations would occur by 7AM. All I had was 5 minutes to be ready; get dressed with a dirty black trousers, a dirty black tee-shirt, and remember the black ribbon around the left arm. Well well! like Jews with a star sewn on their torn coat during the second World War of evil memory... or like the red letter sewn on the heroin's dress of a famous novel; The Scarlet Letter from Nathaniel Hawthorne. Standing for adulterous, the letter A stigmatized the woman's "sin" heavily reproved and socially condemned by puritan moral prevailing in 17 Century Boston. Hester Prynne is sentenced for adultery to be put in the stocks. She is to forever wear the symbol of her sin, the big red letter A sewn on the bodice of her dress.

In the RPF, the dark ribbon is the representation of discrimination; the illegal and arbitrary segregation of the person. The person is plainly ostracized. It is the same thing really except that we no longer live in 17th Century. Of course the RPF is contrary to the Rights of Man, violates every Constitution and must be forbidden by the Governments would they only bother to assume their responsibilities and make proper legislation so that no intern prison belonging to any group or "religion" call it a labor camp, gulag or RPF be tolerated on their soils. I guess that the will of politics would be awakened when a politician's daughter or son were to be be ensnared by a cult and be interned in one of those camps or worse, were to commit suicide.
The RPF illegal forced labor camp is all the more intolerable since this humiliation is presented as an expiation for adept's so-called "crimes" and which is forced to accept his need for Redemption. On top of that imagined by a perverted madman, sadistic and paranoid schizophrenic guru.
But let's come back to the story.

As a precautionary measure, I always wore a clean tee-shirt underneath the black and dirty one. Fortunately, I had a dozen tee-shirts in my suitcase. Every night after the 30 seconds shower I coated my body with talc in order to protect my skin against sweat. We all suffered from heavy sweating. I recall this young woman terribly suffering from an important infection which had been developing under her breasts. Instead of healing, the wound had been expanding to such a degree that purulent blisters had reached her navel. When I saw that infection I told her: "Here, have some talc, take mine." She looked at me puzzled.

— "I think you should wear a cotton tee-shirt under your bra in order to isolate your breasts. That may help to stop the infection." I added.
She answered that she didn't have any so I spontaneously gave her 2 tee-shirts of mine.
— "You can wash your tee-shirt every night so you will always have a clean and dry tee-shirt for the day after."
She had a sort of trembling.
— "Why are you doing this? Why are you helping me?" she asked.
With the passing of time, I realize how pathetic was this woman's reaction. How was it possible that someone should help her? She had lost the notion of solidarity! (something very present in regular prisons or prison camps.)

To me it was just a matter of assisting someone in danger; her infection had definitely become too large to ignore it. Unlike others, I felt compassion. In the RPF, it's every man for himself.
Among the 8 girls living in the same room I was the only one to offer some help. But each girl was having her share of suffering, each girl was trying to survive the best she could and then I had just arrived to the RPF, therefore I was not weakening yet. I could still afford to help someone...
We used to take a bus taking us to the Fort Harrison. That bus was infested with cockroaches. First, I refused to sit down since the bus was crawling with cockroaches which did not mind to step on us but then with fatigue overpowering me, I relinquished to sit down. Every moment of rest had become a priority so we all just merely move our hands or feet once in a while to dismiss bigger ones...

At the RPF "mess" (room in which meals are eaten in the Armed Forced), it was a matter of feeding ourselves the best we could. Cereals in the form of unappetizing porridges were proposed. To hold out and despite my disgust in eating solid food in the morning, I reluctantly swallowed every kind of soups or pigswills, as long as they had milk in it. The RPFer in charge of bringing the food was warmly welcomed by everybody since he had managed to find a milk gallon; I watched as he was being applauded and sadly deduced that milk was not an obvious foodstuff in the RPF.
"Muster" or "roll-call" would then take place. The shabby-looking gulag battalion pastiched military muster for review or inspection. Everyone is supposed to answer his name by "Hi Sir". Any delay, be it one second, is heavily sanctioned. The sorry spectacle of four RPF tottering columns was a wretched sight; twenty people struggling to stand to attention looked far more as an East German extermination camp than a glorious glittering "corps d'elite" Sea Org members. I could not help thinking that it was impossible avoiding to relate the cortege of mere shadows that we had become with the flashy group in full uniform pictured in the cult propaganda magazine and supposed to lead mankind on "the road of total freedom." Ironically, we were imprisoned and carrying the same chains we had all come to set man free from. Quite obviously, there was an horrendous booby trap I could not figure out.

The first standing order of the day was to clean the Fort Harrison stairs (approximately 15 floors) I was given a bucket, a floor cloth and a twin, in this case a very young lady barely18 years old.
As we started to clean the steps one by one on our knees, she asked me the reason of my RPF assignment. I answered in a relaxed off-hand manner that since I wanted to leave the best way out, I had come up with was to violate the SO ethical code, that is to say never have sexual relationship outside marriage.

— "I went out 2D" (esoteric language for having sexual intercourse.) "And you know what?" I added, "we didn't even have time 'to materialize' because they caught us just before we did!"
She burst out laughing and she told me her story. Roughly, her situation was the following; she didn't agree with some decisions from up lines management, she stood fast and didn't allow herself to be swayed (thus sent to the RPF).

Being born in the cult, having known but the cult, perspectives projected by her towards the exterior world were extremely reduced.
— "I have no diploma, I could never work in the 'wog world'" (racist term to signify everything that do not belong to the cult.)
— "Do you have any family outside?" I ventured.
— "Yes, my mother is in England. I don't know her and she is 'declared'" (a person declared is a person arbitrarily declared a "suppressive being" by the cult: i.e. ostracized.) "I don't have the right to see her. Besides, could I adapt myself in a country I do not know with a mother whose face I don't even recall? If I failed to get in tune everything would be over for me. I have no choice; I must endure."

This lucid, clear-minded 18 years old young lady, with her long blond hair saying that she had no future outside the cult was deeply moving. Suddenly, I realized the horror of isolation to which every youngsters born and raised in the cult are abandoned to. They can't escape, and how could they? They are prisoners inside of the life they will never get to know outside...
She glanced a fearful look at me: was I going to betray a confidence she shouldn't have ever made? I reassured her with a smile.

— "Don't worry. I won't say anything. Well, the outside world is not that terrible you know, after all, I've come from out there!"
I'll never forget her sad and resigned look. She said dreamy:
— "Yes, maybe, who knows?"
In fact, she was an Exec from CMO INT (high executive from the International Commodore Messengers Org, very senior org in the cult.) She was to stand up for me once when one of the RPF warder took it out on me with no apparent reason. She literally jumped on the bigot:
— "If you don't leave her alone immediately I swear I'll remember you when I get out of here and you know that I'll get out before you do!" (RPF warders are on RPF program too.)
Anyway, the guy was nailed to the spot; not only did he forget all about me but everyone kept a respectable distance ever since. It is true that in the cult complex hierarchy CMO INT execs have almost every power. Thinking it over, I think I gave her a little hope; it wasn't that bad outside...
The day would continue with the cleaning and scouring of every toilet of Fort Harrison building reserved to the "public" (scientologists coming from all around the world for "services") We actually "liked" to do it since it was deliciously air-conditioned inside and frankly, compared to other RPF hardship, sponging up sinks had almost become our idea of having fun! I only feared that someone should recognize me in such a slave get-up, with a hand brush, bent over a bowl-shaped part of a toilet.

A misfortune buddy almost fainted when cleaning a mirror; she stopped dead staring at her own image with horror. Well, the poor girl didn't already look well but now she had just turned green. We were all looking dreadful, dirty, shaggy-haired and were quite in a bad shape. The thing was to carefully avoid meeting our face. She started to cry. She just could not afford to breakdown. She was putting herself at risk by sobbing in front of scientologists. It was awfully "bad PR" (bad public relation). Suddenly one of us said with her nasal Oklahoma twang:

— "Well, what should I say? Look at me! I look like Frankenstein whereas you only look as if you had seen him!"
Everybody laughed and the poor girl somehow pulled herself together. She then cautiously kept avoiding every mirror reflection. There was a sort of solidarity but very rare and punctual. Relationships were mostly lived in terms of power struggle. Orders were constantly shouted, we were hustled from morning to evening, no slowing down even in the sun, sanctions would shower on us:

— "Take a lap! Take two laps! Take five laps!" ( a lap consists in running around the Fort Harrison garage ramp.)
The mirror young lady had a hard time to follow the pace. She would stumble over, fall, get herself hurt, and would always be behind the pack (late) and I would tremble for her. RPFer's bosun (warder) was pretending not to see her. So I thought that she would be spared as she was obviously of a frail nature. In fact, it's highly probable that her fall was programmed. I witnessed an odd conversation looking like bets in racecourses:

— "That one, I give her 2 weeks!"
— "I don't give her another week myself!"
Well I will never know what happens when the person can't take any longer (maybe she's assigned to the RPF's RPF) for I chucked out before it ever became my turn. I don't even dare to think about it... There were the dangerous tasks to perform. The garbage detail was particularly strenuous for the fair sex. Men would challenge us making fun of our poor efforts to get up enormous and filthy garbage cans. Some girls would exhaust themselves out in vain; I would just save my strengths protecting the best than I could my fingers, my feet, my body in general. An accident might happen and no treatment would be granted, furthermore there is no hospital in the RPF; there is not even an emergency kit.

There was a definite lack of everything; salary already reduced to the third part was suspended for the vast majority of the RPFers. So everybody would soon become indigent. Suddenly, you can no longer buy cigarettes (only unrestricted items allowed), your toothpaste, soap or deodorant... Would you allow me to stress that women still having their periods, find it extremely degrading not having enough cash to buy a box of tampax (some women suffer from cycle troubles due to stress and fatigue; same symptoms occurred in concentration camps.) At least, this is what I could experiment for myself and I was utterly happy to have some tampaxes in my car gloves locker. How humiliating it is to find oneself in complete poverty when one has given away a fortune for the cause and is subsequently working as a beast of burden! What a despair it is to notice one is reduced to slavery whereas one had come in pushed by the winds of freedom in order to align in the ranks of those working so that man would be set free!

The end of the day would be a piece of anthology. As I said, there was the special gulag training (5 hours training = 5 hours indoctrination) Such a training was mandatory of course and consisted in a cortege of forced confessions of imagined crimes and treacheries of every kind (mental torture called O/Ws). By any means, I knew that before I got there I had to restudy the same HCOBS & PLs (guru's nonsense) I already knew by heart. Well then, I shall continue to act stupid; I would spend hours on a 10 pages long bulletin called "Keeping Scientology Working" and pretended to be busy by turning the dictionary pages which would allow me to remain seated most of the time. You see in the RPF and other gulags, luxury is motionlessness. The thing is just to remain in complete stillness. Moreover, RPF's indoctrination is delayed but, who wants to think about it? Anyway, two RPFers had noticed my little game and as they were up to the same one themselves we would once in a while glance at each other in beaming mirth! That's what being called "mutual out ruds" (esoteric expression meaning a negative conniving attitude, being a party of something or someone.)

At the end of the day, coinciding with the end of special gulag indoctrination, we were supposed to — well at least it was highly encouraged — take the floor to say how pleased we all were and how wonderful and fabulous it was to follow a convict's program without forgetting to stress we were all thankful to hope that one day Redemption would occur thanks to the marvellous technology of the best friend Earth had ever bore! I always refused to participate to this farce where we had on top of that to applaud everyone's fantastic gains! I would simply put a mongoloid grin on my face which actually fitted very well on submission grounds and approval of every nonsense that could be heard. As long as I seemed to agree to the whole masquerade and as long as I looked vaguely stupid, I knew I would be allowed to vogue over relatively peaceful waters. Anyhow, I was delighted I had done some theatre acting when I wondered; under the false aspect of a tranquil lake, furious roaring fortieth currents and other howling fiftieth wind streams were preparing devastating tidal waves..."  You can read her full testimony as well as others here.

Before you go, I would like for you to hear in her own voice how this has effected her even after being out of Scientology for years.  The psychological pain that many of us have been is why we protest so hard.

Thanks for coming by.  I hope you have been educated a little.  You comments are welcomed as always.  Here are a few references by Hubbard about the RPF, just click the titles.

Little Girl Lost

There are many people who believe, or would like to believe, that all of the abuses of the "church" of Scientology started with David Miscavige and that everything was Heaven on Earth while Hubbard was still at the helm.  Please let me disabuse you of that notion.  There were many, many incidences of abuse,  abuse of power, sexual abuse, abuse and exploitation of children, and splitting apart of families long before the reign of Miscavige.  As a matter of fact, just about from the very beginning Hubbard ruled with an iron fist and woe to anyone who disagreed with his Captain Bligh ways, even a 10 year old girl.

This is the story of Sharone Stainforth.  Her story is heartbreaking.  Many of you have heard her story, but many, many more need to hear it.  This story should be at the ready if anyone tries to tell you of the virtues of Hubbard and Scientology.  She was the youngest person to ever sign a Sea Organization (The elite command structure of Scientology) contract.  She was also the youngest ever Commodore's (Hubbard) Messenger.  Instead of trying to tell you her story in my words, I will let you hear it from her. Please send this to your friends.  Everyone should hear it.

Warning:  Have your hankies ready.

As always, I look forward to your comments.  Thank you so much for being here.

Scientology Is Hypnotic Mind Control

If you have never been in Scientology, this is a chance for you and your friends to find out the truth before you think about throwing away your life and your money.  If you have been in, you know I am telling the truth.  Thank you for reading.

In his book Creation of Human Ability, Hubbard acknowledges that some people might think these drills hypnotic. But in actuality, he states, these drills "run out" hypnosis. "(They) induce no trances. People who think so simply don't know much about hypnotism."  - This statement is what is knows as an "offensive defense", or in the fight game, "getting there first-est with the most-est"  In effect, he is fighting the fight before there is a fight.

As I have said earlier, I was a highly trained hypnotist before I ever heard of Scientology.  I know hypnosis when I see it.  I had hoped, and Scientology promised that their techniques would be faster and more spot on than straight hypnosis.  I was wrong.  I know for sure that long before Hubbard started his "research" for Dianetics, the formula for hypnosis had already been codified by real scientific researchers.  It is simply this:

Reality + Imagination + Subconscious Cooperation = Hypnosis

Hubbard knew this and used it, not only for Dianetics, but for most auditing in one way or another.  Now let's take a look at how it works in your first Dianetics session.  You have had the personality test, and you have agreed that you need to change some things in your life.  You really feel that this organization can help you.  You know that you need help.  Reality and Subconscious cooperation are already working.  So you go into session and you are told to recall a time when, . . . .whatever.  Imagination kicks in.  You are already there.  You now are in a state of rapport with the auditor which is a light stage of hypnosis.  You are told that you are the one in control in a session.  It is true.  Guess what?  This is true in hypnosis also.  Furthermore, as much as Hubbard "said" there was nothing to Pavlov's Conditioned Response theories, he used them to further the goals of Dianetics and Scientology.  As a matter of fact, the person being counselled is conditioned time and time again, each time he goes into session the state of rapport is reinforced until all it takes is for him to pick  up the cans of the E-Meter and the auditor's voice to command "This Is The Session!", and he is once more in that trance state.  Ready for more post-hypnotic suggestions.  Mind control.  At least when you go to see a hypnotist you know you are going to be hypnotized.  So who is more honest?

So what about mind control or brain washing?  First off, let me give you a couple of quotes:

The changing of loyalty consists, in its primary step, of the eradication of existing loyalties.  This can be done in one of two ways. First,  by  demonstrating  that  previously  existing  loyalties  have brought about perilous physical circumstances, such as imprisonment, lack of recognition, duress, or privation, and second, by eradicating the personality itself. The first is accomplished by a steady and continuous indoctrination of the individual in the belief that his previous loyalties have been wasted on an unworthy source.  One of the primary instances of this is creating circumstances that apparently derive from the target of his loyalties, so as to rebuff the individual.  Part of this is the creation of a state of mind in the individual, by actually placing him under duress, and then furnishing him with false evidence to demonstrate that the target of his previous loyalties is, itself, the cause of the duress.  Another portion of this same method consists of defaming or degrading the individual whose loyalties are to be changed to the target of his loyalties, i.e., his superiors or government, to such a degree that this target, at length, actually does hold the individual in disrepute, and so does rebuff him and serve to convince him that his loyalties have been misplaced.  These are the milder methods, but have proven extremely effective.  The greatest drawback in their practice is that they require study and concentration, the manufacture of false evidence, and an operator’s time.

The best approach toward degradation in its first stages is the propaganda of "scientific approach" to Man.  Man must be consistently demonstrated to be a mechanism without individuality, and the idea must be programmed into a populace under attack that Man’s individualistic reactions are the products of mental derangement.  The populace must be made to believe that every individual within it who rebels in any way, shape, or form against efforts and activities to enslave the whole, must be considered to be a deranged person whose eccentricities are neurotic or insane, and who must be referred at once to treatment.

And for you Scientology staff and Sea Org members that have run afoul of Scientology's Ethics and Justice System, there is this:

There is a curve of degradation that leads downward to a point where the endurance of an individual is almost at an end, and any sudden action toward him will place him in a state of shock. Similarly, a soldier held prisoner can be abused, denied, defamed, and degraded until the slightest motion on the part of his captors will cause him to flinch.  Similarly, the slightest word on the part of his captors will cause him to obey, or vary his loyalties and beliefs. Given sufficient degradation, a prisoner can be caused to murder his fellow countrymen in the same stockade. Experiments on German prisoners have lately demonstrated that after seventy days of filthy food, little sleep, and nearly untenable quarters, the least motion toward the prisoner will bring about a state of shock beyond his endurance threshold and will cause him to receive hypnotically anything said to him.  Thus, it is possible, in an entire stockade of prisoners numbering into the thousands, to bring about a state of complete servile obedience, and without having to personally address each one, to pervert their loyalties and implant in them adequate commands to ensure their future conduct, even after their release to their own people. By lowering the endurance of a person, a group, or a nation, and by constant degradation and defamation, a state of shock can be
induced that will cause an adequate response to any command.

No, the above passages were not written by Hubbard, but he was so impressed by them that, for a while, he had his Orgs print the booklet and pass them out as a "public service".  The name of the booklet?  "BRAINWASHING -A Synthesis of the Russian Textbook on Psychopolitics"  Get it?  How many of us worked unceasingly, day after day and night after night at meaningless tasks to further the cause of Scientology?  How many of us wondered if we were going to have anything to eat at night, or have any time to eat it?  How many of us slept on floors because there was no room for any more beds in the places we were staying and we were grateful for even that.  And how many of us told our children "just go back there behind that desk and get a little sleep", when they complained that they were tired and wanted to go home.  Yes, even onto the next generation does the brainwashing continue.  But we thought we were doing the greatest good for the greater number of dynamics.

Thanks for coming by today.  I will have more for you later.  Please pass it along so others may not fall into the trap of Scientology.

Yes Virginia, Narconon IS Scientology

In light of the recent deaths at Narconon Arrowhead and the news reports coming out about Narconon from around the world, I felt like I had to put in my two cents worth as well.  Most of this is probably old news to Scientology watchers, but I hope to educate some folks, and hopefully, keep some unsuspecting victim from going to a non-medical, un-certified drug and alcohol treatment program.

Let's get this out of the way right off.  Narconon is Scientology.  I know, Narconon says they just use some of Hubbard's materials, but they are not part of Scientology.  And, Scientology says that they support the actions of Narconon, but they are not over Narconon.  So, in police detective language, let's "follow the money". By the way, the average charge for the Narconon program is $35,000 U.S.D. Cash.

The name Narconon is a trademark registered under a corporation named A.B.L.E. which stands for the Association for Better Living and Education which is a non-profit organization headquartered in Los
Angeles, California, established by the Church of Scientology. It states that it is "dedicated to creating
a better future for children and communities."It promotes secular uses of L. Ron Hubbard's works, and
has been classified as a "Scientology-related entity" Through A.B.L.E., Narconon send at least a 10% "donation" to Scientology from it's weekly gross income for the use of the Hubbard "trademarks".  It may also only purchase it's training materials from Bridge Publications which is another Scientology corporation.

You need more evidence?  Ok.  One of our favorite sources, David Love (click here to see his web site), tells us that although the Scientology E-Meter is not used on patients, many staff members have their meters on the property to use on themselves and other staff members.  Scientology says that no one may be in possession of an E-Meter unless they are a trained Scientology auditor (counselor) and they must be a Scientologist in good standing.  Mr. Love also says that after a patient has graduated, they are given an interview, and then a Scientology security check, which is always done on the meter, then they are informed that the only way to make sure they remain stable in their sobriety, they need to do a process called the Scientology Drug Rundown, which can only be delivered at a Scientology Org at a cost of about $5,600 per 12 1/2 hours.

Then there are the famous Training Routines.  At Narconon, these routines are done after the patient has finished the detox (kicking off drugs, always done cold turkey, which is not the medically approved manner).  These training routines are completely Scientology.  In Scientology they are used to train the auditor  to be able to confront anything the pre-clear (person being counseled) says or does in session.  In Narconon, the patient is told that they must do these routines in order to be able to confront the Purification Rundown (sweat program).  Some of these training routines are as follow:

Body Control
The student moves the coach's body around a room. In the first half of the routine the student "steers" the coach by silent actions. In the second half, the student uses verbal commands such as "Walk over to that wall." Each successful verbal command must be acknowledged.

High School Indoc
This routine is similar to TR-6, except that the coach resists the student verbally and physically. The student may use physical contact to enforce a command. The routine continues until the student can fully control the coach despite attempts to stop control.

Tone 40 on an Object
The student repeatedly commands an ashtray to stand up and sit down, acknowledging each action. Although the student holds the ashtray throughout the exercise, the goal is to cause the ashtray to move purely by tone 40 intention. (Absolute knowledge that nothing will get in the way of your intention.)

Tone 40 on a Person
As in TR-6, the student moves the coach around a room with verbal commands. The coach resists, and the student must use a combination of smooth physical control and unspoken intention to make the coach obey. The routine continues until the student can maintain exact intention despite resistance.

In Scientology, these are known as the Upper Indocs (Indoctrination: to imbue with a usually partisan or sectarian opinion, point of view, or principle).  The only purpose of these TR's is to teach the student to be controlled by another and to be able to control others.

As for the Purification Rundown (at Narconon it is known as the "sweat program"), it is a potentially deadly process that consists of taking massive (toxic) doses of vitamins and minerals, exercise and up to 5 1/2 hours in the sauna per day.  They will not tell you this, (because secrecy is the Scientology way), but to a person who has suffered many years of alcohol or drug abuse, high amounts of Niacin can shut down a person's liver that has already been compromised by alcohol and/or drugs.  If you have never seen anyone who has died of Cirrhosis, I can tell you it is a horrible way to die.

And lastly, I will let David Love tell you about the feeling of loss, pain and guilt that the staff member has to deal with.  Thank you for being here.
